INTERPOL and United Nations Seek Greater Support for Police Role in Peacekeeping Missions

SINGAPORE/PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — INTERPOL and the United Nations have partnered to secure international commitments for greater support for the role of police in peacekeeping operations worldwide. This increased support is seen as a key element to restoring the rule of law in post conflict zones, fragile states and achieving sustainable peace.

Secretary General Ronald K. Noble described INTERPOL’s partnership with the UN as “an alliance of all nations” that would commit INTERPOL to deliver international police expertise, more skilled police personnel and frontline access to its global resources in countries suffering or recovering from conflicts, in order to help them achieve and build peace and combat transnational crime.

“If UN peacekeepers assigned to post-conflict zones or fragile states are asked to perform police-like functions and to combat transnational crime, then more peacekeepers should come from the ranks of police and be given access to INTERPOL’s global databases,” said INTERPOL Secretary General Noble.

At a meeting of more than 60 justice, interior and foreign affairs ministers with senior law enforcement officers from around the world, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon spoke via video of ‘the need for greater respect for the rule of law’ in the world’s most troubled parts, describing INTERPOL as ‘a natural partner’ to restore stability following war and to address the challenges on the ground.

Representing the UN at the meeting, Under-Secretary-General Alain Le Roy said that UN co-operation with INTERPOL had been reinforced by the recognition of “a clear link between crime and conflict” and the fact that serious and organized crime was prevalent in many conflict areas.

Secretary General Noble told the assembly, “In the framework of our partnership with the UN, INTERPOL will provide deployed police peacekeepers with access to the world’s only secure global police communications system; global police databases including names of criminals, fingerprints, DNA profiles, stolen passports, and stolen vehicles; and specialized investigative support in key crime areas, including fugitives, drugs, terrorism, trafficking in human beings and corruption.”

The ministers in attendance are endorsing a special Declaration which will set a roadmap for police to play its full role in meeting today’s peacekeeping challenges.

World Health Organization Declares Global Flu Pandemic, Raises Alert to Phase 6

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – In an emergency meeting today, and for the first time in 41 years, the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared a global flu pandemic caused by the H1N1 virus (Swine Flu). In a statement to member countries, the WHO indicated it had decided to raise the pandemic level from 5 to 6 since their figures indicate that the criteria for phase 6 had already been met and surpassed. The final decision to raise the alert level came after the United Nation’s (UN) the WHO’s governing body had also met with its swine flu experts.

I have therefore decided to raise the level of influenza pandemic alert from phase 5 to phase 6.The world is now at the start of the 2009 influenza pandemic. We are in the earliest days of the pandemic.

Countries where outbreaks appear to have peaked should prepare for a second wave of infection.

Council on Foreign Relations Issues Report on How to Construct Global Government

smargus_green_gadsdenOld Thinker News recently reported on a research program originally announced by the Council on Foreign Relations last year outlining the process how best to implement a global government. The report entitled, “International Institutions and Global Governance Program: World Order in the 21st Century” outlines the five-year research agenda, made possible by a grant from “The Robina Foundation”, to modernize and implement a scheme of world government. The CFR opines that the current structure of multilateral institutions provide an inadequate foundation on which to implement their agenda of international governance.1

The report’s thesis is merely a larger extrapolation of the philosophy espoused by President Obama’s Chief of Staff, Rahm Emmanuel:

“You never want a serious crisis to go to waste…It’s an opportunity to do things you could not do before.”

The CFR report outlines four areas, which by their estimation present a window of opportunity to implement and expand mechanisms of global governance. These areas should come as no surprise as they are the same crisis/government provided solution talking points exaggerated prior to the debt recession taking center stage.

  • International Response to the “Global War on Terror”
  • International Protection of the Environment/Energy Security
  • International Management of the Global Economy
  • Supporting the doctrine of Preemptive War

The report goes on to say that one possible implementation likely to work would be a formal international organization allowing for universal membership such as the United Nations coupled along with regional or sub-regional organizations as we see with the African/European Unions, G8, NATO, etcetera. Moreover, the CFR suggests incorporating Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO’s) as well as “super-empowered individuals”, ergo Bono in order to sell the idea successfully to the public.

The Council on Foreign Relations rationalizes the need for the creation of an international government due to their flawed assessment that no single country, can address these issues on their own with out multilateral assistance. Therefore, we see yet again that the answers provided are merely a response to problems wholly created by multinational oligarchs in the first place. Whether it is the economic collapse at the hands of the world’s central bankers or the chess game of international antagonism at the behest of the United Nations, which more often than not results in the outbreak of war, the CFR seeks to implement the tired shell game of government created problem supplanted with an international governmental solution.

However, most alarming to this blogger, is the report’s outright hostility to national sovereignty and disdain for our Republic’s Constitution. Most specifically is the reports blatant objection to our Constitutional separation of power, stating:

The report continues its degradation of Constitutional principles:

Second, the country’s longstanding tradition of liberal “exceptionalism” inspires U.S. vigilance in protecting the domestic sovereignty and institutions from the perceived incursions of international bodies. Finally, the separation of powers enshrined in the U.S. Constitution, which gives Congress a critical voice in the ratification of treaties and endorsement of global institutions, complicates U.S. assumptions of new international obligations.”

Needless to say, while corporate old-media routinely sought to discredit anyone who dared mention the CFR, painting them as “conspiracy theorists” or kooks, the CFR report arrogantly acknowledges that the false left/right paradigm is inconsequential in obtaining its goals. It is most assuredly that their assumption stated in the report and issued six-months prior to this fall’s past election is based upon the fact that members of the CFR were interwoven in the campaigns of both major-party nominees. As a result and as recently documented, President Obama’s administration is infested throughout with members of this traitorous organization2 among whom are as follows:

Fellow readers, the Council on Foreign Relations is by my estimation in the final act of their bloodless coup to pull the curtains down upon the American Republic. It is so candidly plain that through their infestation of our government, they are but the termites of the new class of would be divine rulers who have all but eaten the entire substance of our Constitution. It is obvious by reading this document, which I implore you to do so for your own benefit, that it is their perverse desire to build a fascist regime of regional corporatocracy under a supreme international parliament, whereby inherent liberties, individual sovereignty be damned.

Quite honestly, the report is frightening yet illuminating simultaneously. Whereas they plainly state in black and white:

“The harder chore is to persuade the relevant parties to adopt a new way of doing business, including (in some cases) the loss of current privileges. For this reason, CFR will include in any proposed recommendations a practical strategy to win multilateral support for needed changes, as well as forging domestic consensus among the major U.S. stakeholders.”

Yet their new gloves off approach offers us hope. The Patriotic remnant who have watched this ferment over the last decade, receive absolute vindication from the dismissive mocking of those scandalous cretins who sought to discredit any such pronouncement regarding their corrupt prerogatives. The unfettered arrogance as displayed in this report might well be nailed from every utility post in every town in order to share and make plain their high treason to the American Republic. It is now immaterial that many of our fellow Americans, out of either willful ignorance or a premeditated philosophy of perpetual denial chose to dismiss claims of an ulterior motive based upon the promise of peace and prosperity via globalism.

We stand now my fellow patriots at a most important fork in the road regarding our Republic. We must indeed choose carefully. Whether we wish to reclaim and expand the rugged individualist spirit, which made our nation the envy of the world, or if the fear wrought by the boogie man of terrorism and economic malaise that keeps many of us awake, will lead us to seek hollow salvation through central planning at a cost of enormous individual liberty.

In conclusion, may the wisdom of the Founding Generation provide a lantern to guide us in recognizing and remembering wholeheartedly the absolute righteousness of the preservation of individual liberty.

President-Elect Obama’s Insincere Commitment on the Environment

During the campaign, President-Elect Obama promised voters that if elected, he would get right to work on getting government to “fix” the environment.1 You know, much in the same way that the government has “fixed” education, retirement, poverty, drug use, housing, etcetera. However, as they say, the devil is in the details.

In 1998, when President-Elect Obama was in the Illinois Senate, he voted ‘aye’ for a bill condemning “The Kyoto Treaty”, explaining in a campaign statement, [Kyoto] did not have “meaningful and achievable emissions targets.”2 Additionally, President-Elect Obama routinely took electric utility and coal industry money during the campaign totaling $539,597. Previously, during his run for United States Senate in 2004, he was flanked by Illinois coal workers proclaiming “there’s always going to be a role for coal”. Even as recently as the West Virginia Primary, Illinois Representative Dan Reitz, original sponsor of the Illinois Anti-Kyoto bill stated:

“He [Obama] understands how important coal is to the state of Illinois and to the Midwest,”2

However after receiving the Democrat party nomination, President-Elect Obama stated in his election manifesto that he would set a goal of reducing US emissions to 1990 levels by 2020 and by 80 percent by 2050, using a cap-and-trade system scheme and a 10-year program worth $150 billion Dollars in renewable energy research and development.3

This scheme when implemented, sets a ceiling on the total amount of gases allowed to escape into the atmosphere via assigned industry credits. If the industry goes over their allotment they are forced to purchase “credits” from a direct or indirect competitor which has not gone over their allotment. The end result, higher energy costs for Americans as the companies pass these “credit purchase” costs down onto the consumer. One then wonders exactly how he plans to “fix” the economy, when by proxy the government will help to increase American’s energy bills. As if the rising cost of groceries and durable goods was not enough, now we can look forward to Uncle Sam raising our energy bills.

Let us also not forget that once this “scheme” is in place, there will be an influx of speculators into the market, where just like with oil prices, the price of energy “credits” will swing wildly further destabilizing an already volitile market.

However, the saddest part of all this hot air (CO2) being expelled from King Obama, is the fact that while he is so concerned with pointing the finger at “we the people”, we have yet to hear him indicate his plans for tackling the biggest polluter of all. Yes fellow readers, the same group of scoundrels put in charge of “protecting the environment”, the United States Government4. From the gallons of jet and rocket fuel dumped into the Atlantic and Pacific oceans by NASA, the Air Force and Navy, to the radioactive waste shipped cross country, the American government continues to escape the line of sight, while they target us, for “environmentally conscious behavior modification”.

Finally, President-Elect Obama will send transition team members to the upcoming United Nations Climate Summit, December 1st through 12th in Poznan, Poland. While we will likely glean some insight into King Obama’s policies; whether he wishes to completely hand over American environmental sovereignty will have to wait until just before the Copenhagen talks begin in 2009. It is my opinion that he will indeed seek to erode American sovereignty further via either an expanded Kyoto type treaty or global version of the “North American Agreement on Environmental Cooperation”5. Neither of which will help protect the environment and instead will only line the pockets of professional environmentalist robber barons.

Zeitgeist II: Addendum Advocates Population Control?

Have you ever really been a fan of something only to find out it is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, i.e. the classic bait and switch? My partner and I enjoyed watching the original Zeitgeist last year as it railed against the establishment, the Federal Reserve, and threw a critical eye to the origins of modern religion. We applauded what seemed to be a philosophy based in challenging the status quo.

This past Summer, while leaving a comment on a friend’s MySpace profile, I stumbled across the trailer for “Zeitgeist II: Addendum”.  The trailer indicated it would premiere on October 3rd, 2008 and as such I eagerly awaited its online release.  However, having researched further into the Zeitgeist website, its source material, and underlying philosophical motivations, this blogger is thoroughly convinced it is yet another finely crafted slick marketing piece advocating globalism.

The Zeitgeist homepage has a link beneath the Addendum place holder image, listed as
“-IMPORTANT REFERENCE SOURCES-”.  Clicking the link takes you to a page that states:

reference material because of our belief in the importance of the message. We
make absolutely no
money off of sales.

Following their fervent non threatening statement of “belief in the message” the site then points viewers to “One of the Most Important Books you will ever read”, entitled “The Best that Money Can’t Buy” by, Jacque Fresco. Peter Joseph, director and producer of ZeitGeist I and II further reinforces his adamant support for the aforementioned book stating:

This book was a critical influence for Parts 3 and 4 of “ZeitGeist: Addendum”

Unfortunately, this book is nothing more than another half-ass attempt at “perfecting human society” through a “resource based economy”.  This same “goal” has been advocated relentlessly by the plutocratic oligarchs in their veiled attempt to market humanity oppression, disguised in benign gift wrapping.  This is the same ultimate goal as the failed “League of Nations” and its predecessor, “The United Nations” which also advocates, one world governed without borders for the benefit of humanity. (insert Kum-Ba-Yah chorus here).

Following the link to the “Venus Project”, one is taken to what looks like a Star Trek junkie’s bad acid trip, who is obviously stuck in some bizarre 1970’s science-fiction-midlife crisis.  Behind the gaudy rendering of future buildings, home, bridges etc, is the real bowl of crazy behind “The Venus Project”. Clicking on the Venus Project’s statement on a “Resource Based Economy”, one is greeted by the insidious goal of the group.  The 6th paragraph or setup, of the group’s statement, utterly contradicts subsequent paragraphs, stating:

We must emphasize that this approach to global governance has nothing whatever in common with the present aims of an elite to form a world government with themselves and large corporations at the helm, and the vast majority of the world’s population subservient to them. Our vision of globalization empowers each and every person on the planet to be the best they can be, not to live in abject subjugation to a corporate governing body.

However, just two paragraphs down, they state their philosophy’s mean to achieve its end:

At present, we have enough material resources to provide a very high standard of living for all of Earth’s inhabitants. Only when population exceeds the carrying capacity of the land do many problems such as greed, crime and violence emerge. By overcoming scarcity, most of the crimes and even the prisons of today’s society would no longer be necessary.

So since we as intellectual, intelligent, individuals, who do not live under rocks know; resources are already less than balanced for a population of 6.8 Billion and rising.

So how exactly does Mr. Jacque Fresco expect to “balance the carrying capacity of the land” and do away with prisons? Furthermore,  how is it any different than this Council on Foreign relations globalist asshole?

With these changes, the focus of United Nations population conferences shifted from expertise to policy. In the minds of donor governments and population activists, the main purpose of population conferences became, arguably, the effort to make governments more aware of their population problems and to encourage and assist them in lowering the birthrate.

So while I am all for getting rid of the Federal Reserve and the debt based economy, challenging those in power, questioning the origins of modern religions, abolishing the Income Tax, etcetera. My philosophy does not align with yet another example of elite statism, disguised by Peter Joseph and his movie as revolutionary.  My great hope is that there will be a second age of reason, whereby humanity regains its inherent rights and liberty by throwing off the oppressive hands of tyranny, not merely replacing one group of elitist plutocrats with another.
