It’s a good thing the news outlets made it clear that throwing shoes is an insult in Arab countries. It prevented the confusion for all us non arabs that never would have guessed the intention was to insult rather than to show off some really nice shoes. Is it possible that in France people only throw their shoes to express the highest respects?
