Rahm Emanuel Advocates Compulsory Civil Service

It is my hope that perhaps by reading our site, members of this group will see that Tyranny calls no one group of people home; that a loss of liberty for one individual, is a loss of liberty for all. All peoples on our little blue marble have been subject to the thumb of oppressive despotism at one time or another.

As previously reported, then Democratic Presidential candidate, Barack Obama while speaking in Colorado this past July, stated:
“We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objective that we’ve set. We’ve gotta have a “Civilian National Security Force” that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded.”
Unfortunately, President-Elect Barack Obama has yet to expound upon exactly what he means by such a statement. However, even prior to this mock election, media reports began circulating that candidate Obama had already extended an invitation to Rahm Emanuel to be his White House Chief of Staff. Representative Emanual (D-IL) having served in the Clinton Administration, is well groomed to help speed up the new King’s transition to power.
Moreover, it appears that Representative Emanuel (D-IL) who is also head of the the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, may be the best person to shed some light on the aforementioned ominous sounding statements. In “The Plan: Big Ideas for America“, co-authored by Representative Emanuel and Bruce Reed, the two lay out their vision of the “Homeland’s” new compulsory civilian service, writing:
“It’s time for a real Patriot Act that brings out the patriot in all of us. We propose universal [mandatory] civilian service for every young American. Under this plan, All Americans between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five will be asked to serve their country by going through three months of basic training, civil defense preparation and community service.”
If the arrogance alone in such sentiments bothers you not, the two “centralized planners” go on to say:
“Republicans will squeal about individual freedom,”
Such blatant disdain for individual liberty is a sentiment only of tyrants. We have seen this ruse perpetrated on us for the last eight years as it relates to the false justification for preemptive war. Let us not now be chastised away from our liberty based upon a centralized planner’s definition of patriotism. The definition of Patriotism to these scoundrels is loyalty to the power of the ’state’, their false notions of nobility, their blood soaked seats of power, not to our Republic, not to our Constitution, not to humanity’s inherent liberties.
Fellow readers, my political philosophy is far from what is espoused by the “Republicrat Party Platform”, however the thought of our children being indoctrinated into a 3 month “boot camp” and “civil disaster preparedness” reeks of statism. A search of history will turn up various reincarnations of these types of “community service” programs. Regardless of the slick glossy packaging and repackaging, the motivation and end is always the same, oppresion, tyranny, and despotism.
For those of you whom support President-Elect Obama, consider that even if he were to be pure in his intent, would you have wanted your children to have been forced to work under a Bush Presidency?
We know not what type of President we may have in the future, and this my fellow readers is why we should not allow this current President to obtain mandatory legal guardianship over our youth now or ever. The temptation of power is inevitable.

It’s unimaginable, but unfortunately quite probable that the same people(mainly democrats and a few republicans) that would have staunchly disapproved of such a mandate as the ‘Civilian National Security Force’ under the Bush Administration will likely find a way now to defend such under an Obama Presidency.
See, it’s not so much an opposition to power itself, as it is an opposition to who has the power at that given moment. One side of the illusionary aisle always claiming to have better intentions.

Concern for the survival and self determination of one’s own people is not collectivism. It is a pure and selfish love for one’s extended genetic family. Trying to tie someone’s race, gender, ethnicity, et al in with tyrannical behavior is ridiculous. Tyranny is despicable regardless of who is behind the curtain.
Furthermore, the idea of sticking together solely based on the color of your skin is absolutely collectivist. As one assumes you feel your group’s rights are somehow superior to that of the rights of individuals not in your people group.
Every human is inherently free, and deserves to remain free from the iron fist of government and the tyrants who seek to curtail liberty.
Additionally, my views on liberty come not from Ms. Rand, so such a comparison is immaterial to the discussion and only further illustrates your disdain for your lot in life; seeking someone, anyone, a convenient target to blame other than yourself.
In your mind, liberty is a benefit to be bestowed only upon certain people worthy according to your people group’s narrow definition.
You reduce liberty to a welfare handout from government. It saddens me greatly that you have such little faith in human freedom as to need it controlled and rationed like food stamps.
But by all means continue thinking small and your life will reflect that effort.

Your whole first paragraph assumes that I voted for President-Elect Obama. Had you taken the time to look around and actually read, you may have noticed that I am not a fan of his whatsoever. However his skin color has nothing to do with my disdain. His words, record, and philosophy are wholly incompatible with mine. Where he believes that government is the solution, my belief is that individuals free from ignorance and the shackles of tyrannical government are more apt to solve problems themselves.
So the fact that Hitler was white and used government to crush liberty for other whites, how does your twisted intellect account for such?
Or was Hitler and evil gay person in disguise?
I find it laughable that the white supremacist sect is so inept at spelling as to not even be able to spell their chosen epithets correctly.
To me this further justifies my theory that your lack of education coupled with your group’s overall low skill-set are far closer to the cause of your pretended oppression than any of the numerous traits you so blindly point the finger.

Dear Ms.Bricker,i have a few final comments in rebuttal.First off,there’s nothing wrong with my spelling,it is far above average.Second,I don’t discount peoples opinions because they might have imperfect grammer,or spelling.Third,if you were to read closer you would discover the only people i “blamed” for the predicament we are in is the Zionists,not everyone as you imply.

Do not mention the Constitution, as you and your fellow followers care not for the principles which led to the Creation of the Document. You profess to love liberty, yet your words and sentiments wholly contradict that ideal.
Do me a favor and at least be intellectually honest, you desire a freedom for your ilk and your ilk alone. Not so. No man is an island. There is no freedom without collectivism. Get yourself airdropped in the middle of the wilderness and see how much you enjoy your “inherent freedom.”
There <I>is</I> a reason nearly all groups of living things tend to stick together: there’s strength and safety in numbers. United we stand, divided we fall.

Liberty is to be bestowed on a citizen of the nation. As a practical matter, there is no way to bestow liberty upon every human being on the planet (unless you naively believe that that’s what the U.N. has set out to do). The nation has the right to define its citizenry in any way it chooses. It has a right to defend its borders and set limits and criteria on immigration. It has the right to preserve itself and its heritage. It has a right to protect its citizenry.
There is more to life than just “individual freedom”; there are no “individual freedoms” without collective or national rights and freedoms.

Hitler did no such thing. If it hadn’t been for Hitler, the Soviet Union would have encompassed all of Western Europe, and possibly the whole Western world. German citizens under the Third Reich were as free as they could reasonably be expected to be under the difficult circumstances of the time.
Hitler deserves the free world’s gratitude, not its scorn.

Then again, what could one expect from a person who wishes to celebrate Hitler? It is no wonder why your seriously deficient intellect has not the breadth of understanding as to our inherent liberties. These liberties are for all mankind solely by our birth, as so eloquently espoused by John Locke and Thomas Paine, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, and Frederick Douglass.
My rights are mine and are just as valid with or without government. My rights are secured not by government, but by my inherent right to self defense. And while your ilk enjoy stalking and beating members of the gay community, might I just remind you, armed lesbians don’t get bashed.
Finally, you reveal yourself as wholly uneducated as to our Founding Fathers in your incorrect statement on their view of race.
President John Adams was a staunch abolitionist, as a matter of principle, never owned a slave and worked his farm with only himself and his family.
Benjamin Franklin was also against slavery and an abolitionist, however he knew that issue would have to be resolved after the War for Independence and Constitutional Convention.
Finally, President Jefferson authored the anti-slavery plank in the Ordinance of 1784 which was removed by Congress prior to full Ratification along with his many other writings against slavery.
Perhaps if you expanded your library to include books outside of racist propaganda you might be less apt to make such glaringly incorrect statements.

In a way, I think the Draft should be re-instated, so that all those right-wing “tough guys” who support the “War on Terror” will have to fight that war instead of just cheering for it from the sidelines. Them, and all the indifferent, apathetic, self-absorbed jerks who don’t care one way or another that America’s wars of imperialist aggression are being waged in their name. The Draft will make them care.
